Portugal Tour 2019

Portugal Tour Day 1 - Porto

After a day of travelling, the choir spent the morning sightseeing in the city, whilst the organ scholars visited the organs of Lapa church and Porto Cathedral. We finished the day by singing two items at Mass in the cathedral.

Portugal Tour Day 2 - Aveiro

We travelled to Aveiro, south of Porto, where after a day of soaking up the sun and trying bacalao (the local food) we gave a concert to the packed cathedral. We even had to compete with a big football game for audience, so to have such a big crowd was even more special! ⚽️

Portugal Tour Day 3 - Porto

When in Porto, it would be rude not to try any port, so some of the choir went on a tasting experience! 🍷 Others took in the beautiful sights from a boat trip up the river. ⛵️We ended the day with a concert in the magnificent Lapa Church, where we combined forces with the choir of Porto Cathedral for two pieces.
