Queen’s Choir is delighted to announce the return of our now annual performance of Handel’s Messiah with the Academy of Ancient Music this December!
This piece follows the story of Christ’s life from the prophecies of the Old Testament through to his birth, passion and resurrection, and final conquest of sin, and lies at the heart of Christmas musical festivities. This story will be brought to life in the Sheldonian Theatre through the finest choral and orchestral performance of the Baroque standard, enriched by a lineup of exceptional soloists and under the stellar direction of Owen Rees.
Previous performances of Messiah in this collaboration have sold out months before the event and early booking is advised.
